Each figure is handcrafted, and though their bases are all the same, each one is completely unique due to the individual glaze each is given. Studio Arhoj states that Ghosts were inspired by the Shinto belief that every object has a soul, even small lumps of clay, which is why each ghost has a pair of ever-staring eyes.
